With the chairfamily MELA we made the attempt to summarize the “capabilities” of a chairconcept for a modern and sustainable office - living – hospitality and work program. It consists of one plastic and two laminated wooden shells and several bases and upholsteries each systemically fitting. The shape of each shell follows the idea of non-orientated sitting. This “freedom of sitting” leads to a natural, playful handling, which the design underlines with its playful shape. MELA offers a system which enables endusers to decide what they want to go for.
MELA has won the German Design Award 2026 and the GOODDESIGN AWARD 2025 already and was published on the 2026 CIFF in Gangzhou.
